Has anyone tried making their own film/foil caps? How difficult could it be?

Difficulty = how accurate do you want them to be?
quality materials (usually not cost effective for a one off or DIY)
clean controlled enviroment ( static and dirt are not a good thing )

Once knew a guy from another country who grandfather would roll his own.
Once your good at it you can determine length of paper for specific values....probably the formula is around the net.
So for sure it can be done pretty easily and is probably a lot of fun to mess with.
Someday I would indeed like to build an amp for me that uses resistance wire spools and home rolled caps and as much made from scratch stuff as is possible.
