Single preamp power supply node
I used to own one of the great super gain amps of all time .... the DIEZEL VH4S (stereo). Looking under the hood I noticed that Peter uses a single preamp DC node. The output plates are on their own node, then the screens are on their own node, and then there is a single node to supply the PI’s (2) and all the preamp tubes (7). That's 9 total tubes (18 triodes) on a single node. He uses a 100mfd cap at the beginning of the string and then on the far side of the board he has another 100mfd. Anyone ever see this type of power supply before?

Yeah, on budget designs from the past. There may be more here than meets the eye though, this might be done so that the preamp stages intentionally interact with each other in a certain way or something.

fender for instance ran tremolo and reverb from the screens (20uf) and 3 preamp tubes from one 20uf cap. using three 20uf caps for these preamp tubes gives a little tighter bass, at least that's what I think I hear

I would have thought you would get major motorboating. is there any tricks going on e.g. diodes in the line, maybe all gain stages are without bypass caps?

Re: Single preamp power supply node
One of my amps runs the screens and 3 stages off one node!
It's designed this way for reason, and it's dead silent no issues at all.
Really high gain and lots of compression, I guess thats the idea?
