TQ12 speakers

These amps sound pretty darn good. Wondering if any here have tried these speakers for their tweed projects.

I have been in that website too. Very sophisticated stuff. I have a Weber 12A125 in my first amp, an all 7-pin Harvard. Wonder how one of theirs would sound in comparison.

I will let you know, I'm building a straight up Harvard and grabbed a used T10Q off TGP just for it. It's a smooth cone BTW. Might be a bit, dang bills keep eating up my parts money. I need to take up whittling instead.

rp, a tip if you want to get some clean tone out of your Harvard, try subbing the 6AT6 in V1 with a 6BF6, (mu=20) that's how I run mine and you can still heavily overdrive it with a humbucker if you want. Gives it a wider useable range I think.

Like subbing a 12AU7 for a 12AX7. They are cheap and will have to grab one off ebay. The intent here is to hopefully get a clean(er) amp out of it, I got enough dirty tweeds, so thanks for the tip. Also it's taken me 20 years but I've finally learned to plug into the low channel, the one I used to think was for wussies - with age comes wisdom.
