What amp is this?

Post by vibratoking »

I have always enjoyed the guitar sound found in a song by Delbert McClinton called "Gotta Get It Worked On". I am mainly talking about the very crunchy bass riff played during the intro. Does anyone have any idea what kind of amp this is?

I can't put a link to the song while at work. I'll add a link later on.

Here's the link:

I think it might be Rick Vito, but I am not 100% sure.

So you think 5E3? I was thinking it is too heavy for that, but maybe I don't know the 5E3 sound that well.

Thanks guys.

Found this on Google. Still doesn't answer what amp.

"Gotta Get It Worked On" (DM, Max D. Barnes):

"I wrote this with Max, who was the co-writer (with Troy Seals) on 'Everytime I Roll the Dice.' Max is a great guy, he's been a songwriter here in Nashville for a lot of years. That's the only writing session that he and I have ever had together and this song came out of it. You commented about the part where it says, 'Maybe I should go ahead and open up and just let it bleed/'Cause if I turn to stone, I'll never find the love I need...' Well, if you had to say it in two or three lines, that's a pretty good way to say it."
