Just received my Transformers today for my 5e7 build... the P/T has the end bell with hole and all the wires coming from it.. On my other amps the P/T's didn't have the inside end bell's...
The trannies are from Magnetic components... I think I prefer no end bell after looking at this.. Just seems you can do a cleaner wire dress without one on there... Can you just remove it?? Any thought's one way or the other?
It's the 40watt Fender # 022798 style...
Thanks!!!

Re: Transformer end bell question.....
In general just take the nuts and bolts off. I've done this a few times to paint or chrome the bells and the tranny won't fall apart or anything like that. But you might find it all glued tightly together with lacquer. You will then have to go at it carefully with a screwdriver or mat knife to pry the cover off. Usually the laquer holds tight for a while and then just cracks open all at once and the cover pops off. If it really puts up a fight it'll be up to you how much you want to fight back. Sometimes it'll never come off no matter what. I'd guess you can then return it to MC and ask for one w/o the bottom bell if it didn't get chewed up.playonit wrote:Can you just remove it??
