Tube+solid state newbie proyect

Due to my location, im having the hardest time finding an OT or even a PT at a decent price, even tubes so im staying away(for a while) on an all tube build. I have a 2x12 cabinet with 60w 8ohm speakers on it, so i was thinking about building a head with one or two 12AX7 tubes as preamp and then add a simple fet+opamp output. I was thinking about the matsumin tube overdrive pedal (can run from 9 to 12 volts usually) with a dumble tonestack and a Rubys amp output with the 386 chip. Anyone has any ideas?
