Bludotone Universal Tone Amp

Looks like Brandon sent another one out to Carlos. I sure wish there were some sound clips of it somewhere. It looks sweet. I wonder if that is a trigger knob in between the bright & hi/low switches. Is this some sort of Dumble OD meets Trainwreck Express/Rocket?

I suppose it's interesting that Mr. Santana still likes the Abraxas graphic...and the FET input.

Is this the OD-only amp I've seen mentioned?

I thought Brandon put the FET on a footswitch. What's the need for the 2 input jacks?

Brandon says that "The new Santana album is 95% universal tone".

Wow, aesthetics alone, the amp is a work of art. Cool name, too. I would love to hear it.

Wow that sounds sweet. I got to spend a while chatting with Brandon at the LA Amp Show earlier this month. During our conversation I mentioned how much talent and work went into building all these boutique amps, he shrugged his shoulders and said "hell, they're just a bunch of wires". We laughed. I had to get back to our booth, or I would have loved to spend more time talking to him. Really cool guy. Bob, TDS

Is that amp all alone on stage? No Mesa or Dumble?

I posted the following in another thread:

BTW, Guitar Player did a recent interview with Carlos and he mentioned the 'Bluetone' amplifier. I would guess that Brandon is lamenting that spelling error. Carlos says he uses three different amplifiers simultaneously - one each for highs, mids, and lows. I think it was Mesa for highs, Dumble for mids and 'Bluetone' for lows.

Then Carlos went on to equate it to a singers' head, chest and belly voices.
