I just lit up a Conn 1958 vintage organ amp with an OA3 voltage regulator tube in it.
I've never seen a tube glow so bright.
Is it OK to run?
Doesn't seem to be getting too hot, and the circular plate isn't glowing.
Scary! OA3 Tube a light bulb?

Think of it as a tube zener diode, and the funky purple glow is both normal and cute
Proud holder of US Patent # 7336165.

Thank you.
I just did a google image search and WOW what a glow.
