Stomp switches

Post by Wayne »

Hi gang. A friend wants me to build him a footswitch with more switches on it, so his amp can have more switchable options. Switches would be SPDT. Shopping around, I see that some are outrageously priced, while other more reasonably priced ones look quite cheesy. I know that to a certain extent you get what you pay for, but are there any brands that represent particularly good bang for one's buck? Any brands to avoid no matter how cheap/free?

Thanks,

W

Carling are good. Mostly seem to be made in Mexico now but they are good too. I've never used the Chinese ones, but I'm told the Taiwan ones are good too (not Carling brand).

Try effectsconnection, or smallbear. I use the blue 3pdt switches for any stomp switch. $4 from effectsconnection.
