It sounds really good. It has graduated to being my main gig amp.

I cleaned up the workbench last night. Cleared all the debris, detritus, blobs of solder, flecks of wire jacket, and nits and bits. Looking at the clean bench, empty of a chassis-in-production, seemed wrong. I'm already hungry to start another build. I can see how this could become habit-forming.

Nick,

Fantastic job on that amp! I'll bet it sounds really, really good. Nice cab BTW  (I still have the other one if you need to go stereo )

It's a great feeling to finish the last chapter and close the book! Stay hungry.

^^^ Thanks Dave!

That cabinet was perfect for this build. I'm glad to have purchased it from you, because that became the impetus to get the build done. I love the black tolex-on-black grill-cloth look!

Nick, I'm glad to see that cab get a home and such a nice one at that. It does look sharp. Killer job on that face plate.

One of the best clean tones I've ever heard was Eric Johnson at the House of Blues. He was running a pair of '65ish Deluxe Reverbs in stereo with an Echoplex, Memory Man, and TC stereo chorus in front. The TC was used as the splitter. The Echoplex has a preamp which adds a little something as well. Incredible clean tone though; soaring, cathedral stereo delay with a warm, organic shimmer. Very 3D sounding. Great amps those Deluxe Reverbs.
