I used just about the same components.
The 10K resistor is the mid control.
You can sub in a 25K pot to temporarily find the right value or if you have room you can wire it as a mid pot.
I have a 10K to ground for the mid pot.
I ended up changing the slope resistor to 150K.
I have a resistor decade box I made and subbed that into where the slope goes.
It was pretty cool to hear what each change did to the tone.
As you go bigger (to and extent) the frequency shifts higher.
So if you have muddy bass or too much bass you just up the slope a bit and it pretty much takes care of it.
It's actually wired just like this (only the tone stack).
I don't have a cathode follower in my amp.
It started as a Deluxe but I didn't want the two inputs so I just cascaded the two halves of the first 12ax7 together with the tone stack coming off of V1b.
Works pretty darn good.
Then I put a Cross Line Master Volume, that is interesting.
So I guess my amp is more of a 6V6 Plexi now than anything.
