You could make a V at the ends of the components which fits the eyelets, this would make it very simple to desolder and remove later.

Been away over the Christmas break, just getting back into this, quick question before I proceed further - does my filament wiring look ok? (I know I previously posted about it but if actually finished soldering it all):

can't say i always get it in the corner of the chassis like that, i often float em (helps to think of the chassis in 3d, xyz axis)
not the neatest, but these are also dc heaters so hum shouldn't be much of an issue anyway

(that being said, I've seen all sorts of non-ideally wired amps that still sounded good)

It looks impressively, if not obsessively, twisted. If you have 6.3 volts on the V1 socket, it should be fine.Governator wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 5:23 am Been away over the Christmas break, just getting back into this, quick question before I proceed further - does my filament wiring look ok? Haha yeah I know - that’s a result of my previous 18w build where reading all over their 18w forum how perfect the wire twisting needs to be, so I guess that has influenced how I twist my heater wires loldrew wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 1:34 amIt looks impressively, if not obsessively, twisted.
