Re: Ive got access to TUBES
I wont. but ill keep an eye out for them. Honestly I could spend days in the tube room looking for stuff. hell ive already spent about 4 hours. this place also has carbon comps by the 100,000's. and some old Mallory caps, spragues, ceramics. BUT the mallorys are all low voltage so theres not in use for them in tube amps. I even found a stancor transformer and a filament transformer for $5 and $4 respectfully that I plan on making a matchless hotbox preamp pedal with. Both make up a $45 Hammond 269ex *I think that's the right model number*

If you can't sell them maybe you can build your own EDSAC, log into TAG on a valve computer

Magic eye tube
A friend pointed me as I'm dead keen to get hold of a 6G-E12 to finish off a project if possible?

I've been in the tube room for the last two days and God there are so many so close it's not funny. I've found a bunch of 6bq7 and 6cm7's amount other things.

Not sure if you know about this but this is a handy app that looks up tube data.

VT138 is 1629 equivalent.Blackburn wrote:+1 for the 1629 "Magic Eye" tube. JAN are preferred. I'll buy a pair if you can find a couple NOS and offer them for a reasonable price. I want a backup or two for my Eico 950.
Best .. Ian
