Lots of winders including some world class ones on MEF, all sorts of winding rigs, pickups, and discussions. That's Music Electronics Forum. One of the most interesting was a primitive looking balalaika pu from Russia (I think) about a year ago. No matter the looks - I bet it worked great.

Good to see some pickup action going on here too.

I will take a look at MEF, thanks.
I have got such good comments on my various Strat and Tele pickups, I have started winding them for sale, wow, I didn't see that happening at all.

Then there's variations in wire gauge, like the stuff that Don Mare has been doing. Been winding a lot lately and I was quite surprised to hear a 10k 43g tele pickup that kills.
