I think Taku (OP) said he was in Japan. Japan is 100v - so his actual voltage should be on the low side.

Yes, Taku has a replacement PT that I assume is 100V. I was only relaying what we would see here in the US as a benchmark. I should have been clearer.

Looking back to the pictures from Taku (I forgot they were posted), it appears the reverb transformer is missing, look at image 1456. It also shows the PT oriented in the same direction as the OT. Rotating the PT a quarter turn looks like low hanging fruit to me and certainly worth trying.
