All my guitars have volume knobs.
Ever since I read that standby switches were unnecessary and could even cause problems, I've been against putting them in my projects. Seems to me that every inch of unnecessary wire in the power supply area increases the chance that noise will get in there. Is that wrong? Plus there is the expense of the extra parts, the need for more space in the chassis, and the time involved in installing the switch.
