The amp cuts off, sometimes. Figure it's time to change the power supply caps. I can't figure out how to read the can cap.
It does say:
34D4158
5500-26 DC
6913
Sprague

Can you take a picture of it and post it?
Does this amp say Silvertone anywhere on it?
Do you have the schematic for it?
When I Googled it somebody said it was a Silvertone 1422 amp. But I don't see a schematic anywere.

Cap value
Hello! I've seen lots of older SS amps, going by your numbers, I would guess it is 5500 uf, 26 volts, although that is a bit unusual. The last number is the date code, 13th week of 1969. I'm guessing it's a large computer style cap, with that voltage rating. I've seen Peavey amps use a 5500 at 55 volts, and they should be available still. You could always take one out and measure it on a cap meter, and then you could look at the other caps in the power supply and see what voltage they are. You could also measure the voltage on the caps now, before replacing them, and use new caps that have larger voltage ratings.
If the amp is "cutting off", I don't think it is the caps anyway. I'd first look for a bad solder connection or a frayed speaker wire, or something like that. If it were the caps, it would most likely be humming. Good luck in your troubleshooting!
