I guess you've gotta sign in and "pretend shop" to find out

:!: I wonder if they'd just send me one? Kind of a "try before you buy" deal.

Does look interesting, though.

$995 as shown in a special ad section of this month's (Feb) Premier Guitar Magazine. Which BTW is becoming my favorite of all the current rags.....

That may not be too bad for a rather booteek lookin' amp– depending on what it sounds like, of course.
Lots of choices like a Boogie :!: :D

7 watts single ended sounds like a KT-88 / 6550... could this be a "Dirty Little Monster" inspired unit?

They don't mention 6550s on the site. Output choices are either a single EL84, or your choice of 6V6, 6L6, EL34 or KT77. Always wondered how they (and other companies) do that - they're probably using cathode bias, but surely one Rk isn't best for all.

Anyhow, I was expecting the price to be at least twice that much. A new $1000 amp isn't in the cards for me right now, but if this thing is as versatile as it looks it would be well worth the grand. Oh, and BONUS - think of all the fun you could have - good NOS tubes are cheaper "by the each" than they are in matched pairs/quads!

I hope this thing turns out alright.

The builder of this amp had some picture and details up I think it was on 18watt.com or Ampgear.com not sure? That was a few months back.

It does look like the THD amps but THD was by no means the first to use the chassis/cage design. I've got an 30+ year old PA amp that looks like that.
