Attachments to messages?

For some reason the forum software is not letting me attach any files to personal messages.
For example I wanted to send a guy a layout that was 467Kb in size.
A message box pops up and says:


Sorry, but the maximum filesize for all Attachments in your Private Message Folder has been reached. Please delete some of your received/sent Attachments.

I have completely emptied my message boxes, no file attachments or saved messages and I still get that error.

Does anybody know what's up with that?

It has always done that to me and I just resigned myself to the fact that it won't work...

Well it's a pretty recent problem for me.

Because I have attached quite a few layouts and schematics in the past.

I do know that if the file was too big it wouldn't go through, but I believe the limit is 5Mb.

I did a test yesterday and pm'd myself a small image and it worked.

So it has something to do with the files size.

But why it would pop up with that error message now is beyond me.
