It was the enlarging warm, wet red spot on my scrub shirt that got my attention :!: The funny part was watching all the OR personnel go from serious to LOL to serious to LOL

OK, Cas', I got my AO44-1. Mine has a pot that I don't see on the schematic. It looks like it replaces R7 (V1, grid to ground on a triode section of the ECL86– a grid leak resistor?) Would this be like a "Dwell?" Seems to me, the pot should alter the strength of the input signal going to the grid.
Am I close :?:

I think it's a variable "high pass" filter into V1 from the transistor stage. It also adjusts total gain of stage one in much the same way as it would function as a "Volume" control in a simple amp.

Tall oil filled units make great spare parts for other tall oil filled units. Someone out there somewhere probably thinks the oil filled units are the last word in tone. I got some nice dried out Jensen field coils to go with that guy's oil-filleds.
I kept one of those Hammond DR-20 cabs forever it seems, I don't think the reverb tank/tower ever worked. Oddly the Jensen FC speaker wasn't dried out.

Now I have 2 of the reverb towers, are they worthless? Seems a shame.
They look like they're made of all brass.
