Can anyone give me the specs on a Stancor output transformer # 35883

The number doesn't look right to me...maybe it's a later model. Typically, an output will be A-1234 format. Are there any other numbers on it? Can you post a couple of pictures?

The only numbers on it are 35883 and 1386118. It appears to have 4/8/16 ohm taps and it measures out to be 6500 ohm primary. I just don't know its power handling capability. Thanks

Thanks, I didn't find anything with those numbers however. I assumed the 1386118 meant made by Stancor in the 18th week of 1961, right? Maybe its some kind of OEM deal or something?

Stancor iron is pretty stout stuff....you may just have to go by the physical size to make a "best guess".
What are the dimensions?

The iron measures3.75 tall by 3.125 wide by 1.75 thick.It weighs about 5.5 lbs. Im thinking 2 6V6s is what it was designed for but it seems to large.

I bought a set of Stancor transformers off of Ebay a while back that also have unusual numbers on them. They have two numbers 46326 & 300021.

I looked through that Bunker of doom website but I don't see any number like these. The story on these was that they were pulled from a working Dynaco amp??? I don't know what Dynaco amp but the wire colors match up to the Dynaco 470 clones that Heyboer is selling. I'll try to get some pictures but the physical size is almost identical to what you describe with your set.

I've got one wired into a half finished 6V6 Rocket. I guess that is the ultimate test for it?

I forgot to mention that these have UL taps. RJ. do you know the impedence on yours? I believe the Dynaco's are more in the 4000 range.

No UL taps... at least no extra set of leads protruding from the bells. I haven't done any testing to see what it the output impedance is... I'm guessing 4, 8, 16 Ohms.

I think Santa has a scope and signal generator headed my way so maybe I'll get an actual measurement.

I did manage a pretty good photo of mine. As I look at it a little bit closer it's obvious that they have had the bells off and then repainted it, although none of that explains the goofy numbers. I can now see from the photo that the lower number is more likely 306021.

Has anybody got a guess on what this thing might be?
