Deciphering Schematics

Post by Kregg »

On occasion I run across a symbol or an abbreviation when I read schematics that I can only guess to it's meaning. I've always been a mechanical tinkerer of sorts; especially since my grandfather was an inventor and an engineer who built his own televisions, amps, reel to reel tape recorder, a moog synth clone for my brother and other cool gadgets. I solder real good.

What I'd like to find is single reference source with amp/electronic symbols when I happen into a WTF is that roadblock? Know of any stickies, or links?

Thanks,

4k7 = 4.7k

sometimes the decimal can get blurred or lost in copy so 4k7 is a clearer way to write it. :)

See?

That's one of the problems.

Thank You.

The other day I read "FB" with a arrow. I assume it meant to feedback loop.
My first build is a BF Vibro Champ (Ceriatone). Then, on to a TW part search and build. I haven't yet decided on the schematic, though A1a looks promising.

If you want to be correct on your TW build, you want the Franchesca/Kelly '90 schematic, not the A1a schematic...

Every possible detail is pretty much contained in this thread...
