Hotrod Deluxe PT
I am working in a Fender that has blown the primaries twice on the PT. I have never seen this Any ides? I dont think he is plogging into 220. There is a big zener in the circuit ala Trainwreck. Could this do it?
I've got blisters on my fingers!

check the condition of the rectifier diodes.
check ....C53..... its a 8200pf between the legs of the primary.
and .....C31...... the first filter cap in the power supply.
