Installing tube screamer petal guts to amp circiut

Does anyone know of any good references to taking the guts of a tube screamer and adding it to the control panel on an amp. Questions: How do you supply the 9 volts or can you mod it another way? How would you add a noise gate petal in the same manner - having the petal circuit inside the anp just like the tube screamer?

I've thought of the same thing...eons ago.

I finally figured out it's best to have the tubescreamer right where it belongs.
On the floor, and portable.

all you need to do for the voltage supply is use a 2 - 5w dropping resistor from the screen b+; maybe 100k - 150k for value. then use a 1w 9v zener and filter it on that end with maybe a 47uf - 100uf cap. now how you mount the guts, do the switching, etc. is up to you and your own particular chassis. rh
