Can anyone here point me to web resources concerning the math behind the Baxandall (or more correctly James I guess?) tone stack. I just "inherited" an old Traynor amp that has one, and I know from having played through a couple in the past that the stock values just don't quite put it "there" for me.
I have experimented a bit with Duncan's TSC, but so far every time I change a component value I get either a) virtually no change, or b) some radical change that would probably render the thing useless.
I plan to spend some more time with TSC over the next couple of days to try and learn something, but in the meantime if anyone has anything that might help I'd be appreciative.

Thanks! Oh, and also - Eccch! I just remembered how much I hate math! Guess I hoped that the solution was more obvious/straightforward. I think I can still make some hay with it if I start with the design example and work from there. I will eventually try to make sense of the gnarly bits too!
