Re: Dr Z For All
On the Mazerati GT picture layout V1 there is a resistor coming from pin7 to the volume control, however there is not one on the schematic. Any idea what value the resistor might be? Thanks

yeah i could not tell what it is , but if i had to guess maybe 1K5 or 220k/470k.andrew wrote:On the Mazerati GT picture layout V1 there is a resistor coming from pin7 to the volume control, however their is not one on the schematic. Any idea what value the resistor might be? Thanks
I did build this without that resistor and the amp sounded just like the demo on the website. I have had no problems with this amp. I think that resistor is there to prevent oscillation b/c the amp has so much gain.
Re: Dr Z For All
I enabled cookies for that site and it still came up with the warning.
Correction, I restarted my browser and it worked.

Re: Dr Z For All
I noticed on the Carmen Ghia section had several different layouts with different names (Phoenix, etc) and nothing really labeled Carmen Ghia. Are these basically the same amp?

Re: Dr Z For All
What transformers did you use on the build? Anybody try this with different power tubes?

Re: Dr Z For All
Seeing as Cin-tran is no longer Cin-tran, and the trannies are no longer available, what would you use for a S*ray clone? There must be a prefectly good substitute (or better!) out there.....
