Bias points for my Tremolux

Post by angelodp »

I have read about a clever method to create bias test points for a fender amp. I have a blackface tremolux that I have taken the ground switch and death cap out of. I installed a three prong safety plug. I capped the port. In this description it mentioned installing 1 ohm resistors on pin 1 of the power tubes an then using a stereo jack for the bias points ..... but it does not elaborate beyond that. Could this work and what would the wiring look like.

Check out the second kit down. It has a description of what I think you're talking about: https://taweber.powweb.com/store/kits_weber.htm

E-mail me for a diagram. Replace your AC plug with an octal, and you cna easily have a test point for each tube. Two resistors, and an hour of work.

I did that to my '71 DR.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.
