Which Jensen is this boys?
Any of you wags wanna take a guess at which Jensen this is? If I had any sense of justice I'd tell you where the photo comes from, but lacking that I'll only share the information when the amp it is attached to is mine.

Gibson amp right? Or Epiphone. Probably a mid sixties.
I would say that's a C12R.
When that amp becomes yours, we'll have to get together and compare Gibbys. I picked up 2 minty Gibsons recently. A GA-8T and GA-19RVT, both Crestlines.

It is a Jensen Special Design C12N. No Question. What do I win?
Re: Which Jensen is this boys?
C12N had a much larger magnet. I'm pretty sure this is a C12R.

Then the guy who posted it on ebay had it wrong. Oops, was that a secret?
Re: Which Jensen is this boys?
I have the same amp, but in much nicer shape. A C12R, I believe, was standard in these babies. The C12N was rated for around 40W, so I'm pretty sure it was never used OEM in a 15 watt amp.

My vote FWIW is C12R as well. I have a C12NS and C12R next to each other at home.
The magnet structure on the C12N(S) is significantly larger than this speaker, as well as the C12R.

Follow along... it's certainly a "C" because it has a cermic magnet. Sure there are plug magnet alnicos but this isn't one of them.
It's a small magnet structure so that rules out the usual suspects like the "N" and the "R". My guess would be an "S" or "T" and yes those were used in musical instrument amps.
Here's where I blow my credibility... my money goes on a '66 or '67 C12T. I'll take partial credit if I'm close.

I have that same speaker in my 63 gibson falcon ga-19rvt
Its a c12r and is a good sounding low watt speaker

Re: Which Jensen is this boys?
I vote C12R, possibly an Ampeg. are those 7591's or 6v6's? Magnet is too small for C12N.

Yeah, I think the guy is full of it too. It looks like a C12R to me. Anyway, it's mine now:

Ugly little cuss but it's one I've always liked so I'll do my best at a simple restoration and play the heck out of it. 6V6's and a concertina pi if I recall. I'll get a download from schematic heaven and find out. Like I told Dart, I've paid that kind of money on a bottle of wine!

Re: Which Jensen is this boys?
thats just like mine..These are awesome underrated amps!
I will never sell mine. If the word gets out on these they will be expensive. I have told everyone I know if they fin d one I will buy it sight unseen.
Good luck on the project!
BTW: when you get a reverb pan in it be expecting the best reverb in existence!
