Spotted those IC markings ..
Could they be a NC and used as a tie point ?


The RCA book and Tung-Sol pdf has IC:

While the GE has NC on the drawings, but IC in the description:

I guess I could ohm it out when I get home ! LOL !!!

General Electric's 7189 basing diagram shows 1 and 2 connected to grid, 6 and 9 connected to screen and 8 nc. So if you want some interchangability maybe treat 8 as nc only. I used 8 as my tie point for screen resistors in my recent 7189 build. It runs 6BQ5s fine.
