Ampeg GVT Circuit - Anything Special?
Recently I've been intrigued by the early 2010s Ampeg GVT amps from a lot of videos I've stumbled across as well as reviews. It seems to have a full sound and wide range of tones probably coming from the Baxandall EQ. Several people say it has a unique sound, but is there anything special/unique about this circuit? I've built a few kits and projects, but circuit analysis is a bit beyond my skill level. Hoping someone here more experienced can chime in. Ultimately my curiosity stems from the thought of cloning the amp or making a pre-amp style pedal from the circuit. But wondering if it's different/unique enough to be worth the effort?

The first tone control section looks at least a little bit interesting. The parallel fixed mid boost and scoop sections with a blend pot isn't something I remember seeing anywhere before. Most of the design is pretty plain though. There's no negative feedback in the power section, which isn't unique but maybe worth making a note of?
