Help . I have vision issues and have a fuse blowing

Post by kev02 »

I have a VHT D50 I was going to bias on the scope and using the internal signal generator I accidentally let the other ground touch the chassis. The .5 amp fuse now blows even with the tube out . Where should I start ? The last power tube made a crackle , bur I'm not sure to start at the rectification area or where .

Do you have additional fuses?

If so remove both output tubes, install a new fuse then power the amp up and see if a new fuse blows.
