A +3dB difference in speaker sensitivity means doubled SPL but the difference in loudness is not huge.
It would need +10dB to double loudness.

Reason is the logarithmic sensitivity of the human ear.
So it takes 10 times the sound pressure to double subjective loudness.
(3dB is a factor of 2, 10dB is a factor of 10.)
