Dead link for me. maybe you've got it cached in your browser.
Haha, you're right. I am luckey. Maybe you are not so lucky. But the link is not dead and I had never been to the site until you said it was dead, so not cached. What message do you get that tells you it is dead?

Here's what you're missing in case you still cannot reach the link...

very strange, indeed. if it were a security issue my virus program would have quarantined it. this is not at all the case. opens fine in Chrome, but Firefox shows the message above....oh well, good thing I've got both browsers.

curiosly, I tried the home page and it did load in Firefox - here's what I got:

The link still works for me. Here's a clip from the home page:

Channel Road Amplification Is Closed

I have retired from the guitar amp business and am no longer accepting repair jobs. I suggest you try Garytronix in Stanwood, WA, phone 360-629-3004.

This website will continue to host the technical articles I have written in the past. You may even find new articles from time to time.

I thank you for your business over the past 12 years!—June, 2019

This sort of internet weirdness bothers me. I think we should all have equal access. Software that appears simple and easy to use is suddenly out of reach for a user.

Jack, have you tried typing the URL into your browser manually? I wonder if somehow when you click the link it is being truncated. I can see the "closed" notice when I remove the portion of the link beyond ...channelroadamps.com.

The link displayed in this thread is fully complete, not truncated in any way. It ends with "/articles/reverb_driver/"

The 600 ohm tank was from a different abandoned project and I wanted to see if I could keep it from gathering dust on the shelf of misfit projects. Ideally, it seems the old standby, 6G15 unit with 8 ohm tank is the logical direction. But dang it, part of me says: try something different. While I do play some surf, "THE" drip isn't mandatory. The ideas posted give me a direction to investigate. Time to get the parts list started and get tinkering.
