Hi,
begining of the 70s, a french brand called Musique Industrie (MI), used to make different amplifiers, solid states transistors (expensive at this time), and tube amps.
I'm lucky to have found and refreshed one of them. The Mythic MI60. At that time, the british and american amps were too expensive in France and Marshall 100 w heads too loud... So they imagine the MI60, with 2 EL34 on the power section. one 12AX7 in the preamp and one 12AX7 for the PI. They also added a Master before the PI. Very simple, and very nice look. This amp makes me think of the Trainwreck amps.
I replaced the PWT with a tube town one, replaced the electrolytics Caps, I kept the PCB that had been a little bit butchered by a previous 'tech'...., and I put a new tolex. This guy is working very good, with or without stompboxes. only 60W, but on my 1970 4x12 Marshall , it's a killer.
Added a Pix, Muddy Waters playing a MI60...

That's really cool! I love learning about all the small brands that used to exist filling in around F,M,&V. Nice work! "only 60W"

I love the HUGE "Power Attenuator" switch that's really just a weird master volume.
I build effects and amps and do custom builds to order. Boom.

yep, and this one was missing, it's what is making the nice look of this amp. It costed me $ 97 to find a brand new one, I found it for $ 40, but I had to buy 2 of them because a minimum invoice of $80 was requested.
But you are right, it's just a master with 4 positions.
another thing that makes me think of Trainwreck, there was no handle on these amps, and I swear they weigh the weight of a dead donkey...

Very nice! Don't forget to replace that old bias filter (the light blue 100uF electrolytic)!

Re: 1970 French Brand forgotten (MI)
It seemed to me that the bias cap and the bypass cap of the first stage were fine...
But you are right, I can do it.
Talking about replacing caps I have a 1970 Marshall JMP 100 W. I never replaced any of the electolytics caps, it's all stock. Those are now 51 years old, and they are all working fine.

Re: 1970 French Brand forgotten (MI)
The bias filter cap is mission critical. If it fails, your power tubes red plate, and you risk burning up your OT. Sure, it's a small risk, but why take it?
Cheers.

Nice amp!
That schematic calls for a 1.6 amp fuse?
