For any application in a valve amp where a sub 1nF cap is called for.

Anyone have any comments on using ceramic caps for snubbers, instead of film/foil/mica caps?
I don’t have dog ears and I can’t hear any difference.

If I use ceramics I use the C0G/NPO version for reasons explained in the following link

Lately I've been using WIMA FKP2 1000V(Polypropylene film caps) for caps in the 33-100pF range 5mm lead spacing and FKP3 for100-6800pF range 7.5mm lead spacing but the sizes are limited so if I need something specific like 20pF I will either use micas or C0G ceramics

As far as sound I have had great results with WIMA's but they are radial and have short leads ( I solder on leads if not using a PCB sometimes )
some of the pF range WIMA's do have longer leads though
look at pricing for 10 and more if considering these

I have always used C0G/NP0 ceramics, in preference to the other types.
I also use WIMA caps quite often and also extend the leads.
I may not bother to try disc ceramics for snubbers and keep using what I always have.
