Hey all,
This seems like a dumb question but,
if my OT speaker taps are right underneath where my negative feedback resistor is on the board, can I just run that tap up through the board to that resistor turret,
then run one wire off that turret to the speaker jack with the bundle?
or do i have to run all the OT taps to the speaker jacks, then run a wire back to the board,
which in this case would be the same path.
Just wondering if I can save myself running an extra wire,
or there is some reason it has to go all the way to the speaker jack first, then back.

Electric circuit speaking, a wire is a wire is a wire.
Therefore, in theory, what you're saying is completely correct.
On the other hand, the problem you may create is having a high output wire like the output transformer's lead connected close to the signal path of the power section or preamp section could cause interference and oscillations etc.
The only way to know for sure would be to try, but often the reason amps are done the way they're done was because the other ways have all been tried and didn't work as well as expected.
Also the output transformer leads, when you look at them, are very thick, not sure if 12 or 10 gauge but they're always thick, they carry a decent amount of current to the speaker. If you don't make sure you use the same gauge of wire it could also cause other problems. So that's another thing to consider as well.
I would suggest you just use a small wire from the speaker jack like has been done for 70+ years to ensure a more tried and trusted result.

I think what you suggest would be fine. The output voltage is being fed back, and that won't vary much along the length of the (thick) wire. If the OT is right below the board already, I don't think running the wire an extra inch to the turret will make a big difference in oscillation danger. Just make sure all the wire connections are the same size wire as you would use for the normal connection to the output jack.
