Thanks, Mark! I've been playing this today. Reduced the PI coupling caps to 0.022uF, which cut a bit of the flub, but left just a hint of "crazy" at max gain.

I put a pair of Russian 6P3S (6L6) tubes in, and am getting 322v plates, 22v cathode, biased at 70%, giving me an observed 15 watts clean output.

This one sounds even better at low VVR and max gain. Wow. Wow. Bow wow. Couldn't be happier.

Pretty pleased with my decision to put the OT inside the chassis. Proved to be the best place for hum rejection from the PT, required two fewer holes and rubber grommets, filled the space nicely, and keeps the OT further from the speaker magnet, FWIW.

My layout has evolved, but I must offer props again to Doug Hoffman for the innovative power and ground rail layout. Combined with radial caps, it's super compact and efficient and keeps jumpers to a bare minimum.

I shot a video demo and created a page for these amps...man, that's a lot of work. Let me know if the results are worth the effort:

Thanks!

The amp sounds great and yes making videos is a PITA. My only suggestion re. the video is next time talk about what the settings are on the amp and what you are doing when you change them. It seems that in most demo vids the presenter either talks way too much or not at all. But a little explanation is helpful.

Awesome looking build and extra credit for putting the OT inside! The demo video is 1st class, too. No yammering, just straight ahead playing.

Thanks, guys. I hate talking during demos; I may throw some explanatory titles up next time, though. Thanks for the suggestion, LP.

I'd suggest moving the pedal board out of the frame next time, if you're plugged straight into the amp.

First, let me say that with your playing skills, it would be very difficult to make any amp sound bad!

On the other hand, if could play as well as you, it likely wouldn't matter what gear I used!

Nice Build,
Gene
