It's a Gibson EH-125 but with a different tube layout than any others that I have seen. So I replaced all of the caps which was really straight forward. I also added a 3-prong checked and swapped tubes, cords, etc. The sound I get from the amp seems low in volume and garbled. The resistors are 73 years old so that is my next thing to check. Surely this amp did not sound this way originally. I still cant find a schematic for this particular circuit but some that are similar, which may be good enough. Any thoughts or does anyone have one of these and know how it is supposed to sound? Thanks for any replies. I should also mention that I did find one lose solder joint during the recap but only one.
Update to "what Gibson amp is this". Help needed

R's, deafinitely some suspects there. Expect to find a lot of value shifts and old hi value resistors half a meg and up often go open-circuit. Had a bunch in a mid 50's Silvertone I worked on last week. When you get your gem working right, should be fine & mellow.patrick620 wrote:The sound I get from the amp seems low in volume and garbled.
