Exactly. And that's what makes it so frustrating to learn ANYTHING related to tubes. I finally resorted to doing a lot of experiments to find out what the truth is, if there is one. Its expensive, but apparently the only sure-fire method to find out what's what. Corroboration is nice, but even that isn't foolproof as there is also a lot of the blind leading the blind. The Amp Garage is a refreshing change from all that nonsense.
