VINTAGE Power supply schematic needed.
I got this for the price of the tubes. It only puts out 350 volts though. It is a SORENSEN NOBATRON 600B 600 volt half amp regulated power supply with bias & filament supplies. 500 volts at a half amp it will do a 100 watt amp, easy. I got a Fluke 555 volt @ 300 mA but it cuts off at 50-60 watt amps, unless I parallel it with an old unregulated Gates supply, but that is a bit spooky. It came with 2 sets of tubes, including 16 6L6GBs made by General Electric. They all test brand new. Someone else gave up on it in 1987, but he mainly just tried replacing tubes, and taking notes. I think a tranny winding burned opened on it. Mercury quoted me $800 to rewind it.

Mercury likes to charge out the wazoo. I won't use them ever, but I expect a rewind to cost $300+ because it's so labor intensive.
These old power supplies can be a good source of tubes. I once pulled 21 nice Telefunken, Amperex and Mullard EL34's from I think four power supplies. One XF1 but mostly XF2/4's and all still in very usable if not great condition.
The worst thing about these power supplies is they use these now high dollar tubes as series and shunt regulator elements, meaning they literally sit there and burn power through these tubes without ever passing audio.

600B
Since tone is not an issue, it can use New Sensor Shu Guang or JJ tubes. The other tubes are not as desireable as 6L6GB or 6L6GC pentodes. 5R4s? The surplus place across town has Chathams for cheap. I got a 560B schematic & suspect someone may have cheated & replaced a 640 volt CT with a 560 V CT power trans. It also says that a cheap 6BQ6 can drop the voltage if it goes bad & to remove it & see of the voltage rises. It will be unregulated until the tube is replaced. I know someone who has a 600B & will have him peek at T3 & tell me what is in his. I may swipe the iron & use MOSFETs & rebuild it as a solid state supply. With SS rectification it can be up over 700 volts! Most of the solid state Sorensens out there are pretty shot, & need lots of work or they cost a fortune.
