Presently, the power supply on this amp bears no resemblance to yours. It could be that the power transformer was a later addition, like the guys on the hoffman board have concluded. If that's the case, then somewhere along the road, the diodes(and the extra multi-section cap) got lost.

But.

The preamp is set up differently than yours. You have three differently wired inputs. Mine has three jacks with the same value of resistor soldered into the first grid. No speaker jacks.
Mine amp doesn't look like it has the transformer for the 12AX7s.

My brain hurts.

Is that one you already had or the one you just ordered?

Amp gets shipped tomorrow. It has 3 x 12ax7, 2 x powertubes+ rectifier and a transformer bolted to the bottom of the cabinet.

Guy can't seem to get the thing shipped. The check has been cashed, though. Flirting with the idea of telling him to just bring the damned thing to Arlington next week and having fedex office ship it to me from there.

Finally was able to contact Timm. He did end up shipping the amp, but never sent me a tracking number or even a headsup email, for which he was profusely apologetic. Anyway, it's been sitting at Fedex Office since this Tuesday. I'll pick it up after work today and get some pics up.

Link to a pristine masteramp with detailed gutshots over at LTG.

Unfortunately, the amp I got from Kummers isn't going to be much help. It looks identical to yours, but it has 6L6s and has the B+ living in a box on the cabinet floor...

Nice pics there! ...and I see my assumption of where the mystery coil is connected is correct. I tried to register with the site, but I get a message that the admin has disabled it.. ?

We got hacked last week. Apparently, vbulletin forums got hit pretty hard recently and the admin had a couple of people with unauthorized access.
try again in a couple of days, I guess.

I've been too busy to mess with this but I had some time to look at it last night. Can anyone explain what is happening with the screen supply? Or tell me what I have wrong here?
