This is a 3-4 watt push/pull amp using ECL84's. The thread has quite a bit of info including a layout and schematic.

Take a look at the thrifty plexi over at sewatt.com.
It uses cheap russian tubes and puts out about 4 watts in pp.
The 6n2p is a 6 volt 12axy and the 6f4p is a 9 pin ecl84.
The tubes only cost a couple of bucks each.
The 6f4p's like 14 to 16k, but if you put a 16 ohm load on the 8 ohm tap it will get you close.

Just to clarify the 4 watt Thrifty Plexi is in the Tone Per Buck Club area of Wattkins.com (same family of forums as SEWatt.com).

There's also the original Thrifty Plexi which is a pair of 6P1Ps for around 7 watts clean output. We've got a few other low power amps going on over there too, most of which are built around the cheap Russian valves.

Here's a clip of the aforementioned 4 watt Plexi. It going through a single 12 inch Vintage 30.

Thanks!

I used a MPS OT15PP and it has a 7k and 8k secondary. I plug an 8ohm cab into the 4ohm tap to bring the secondary up to the 14k-16k that the 6F4Ps like.

I built another PP amp with these tubes and used a line transformer as a super cheap OT.

I built mine using the same pt and Dvnators schematic.
MPS does not keep the OT15PP in stock so I had him wind me one with 14k and 16k secondaries so I can use 4,8 or 16 ohm cabinets.
It is a great sounding amp.
