I'd settle for a robot that could tell me where the hell I left one of the tools I already own.

I just bought one from somewhere, I think it was AES.boots wrote:I'd love to have an IEC chassis punch for AC sockets.
Has anybody tried using a "nibbler" for cutting out rectangular holes? They used to be available at Radio Shack. I don't know how well they work.
It's the cat's meow so far on aluminum chassis.
I'm going to keep an eye peeled for a heavier version.
That's what flea markets are good for.

Hmmm, this kinda tough. Maybe tools that automatically return to where they are supposed to be instead of staying in the last place I used them?
As far as the IEC cutouts I do mine in about 30 seconds. This only works on aluminum chassis' though. I use a router with a 3mm bit, an MDF template, and a bushing. Use cheap bits, but even with those you get a lot of use out of them. I have templates for the top, face, and rear of the chassis' I use the most, makes drilling and cutting holes a piece of cake.
