250 is a 250µF switchable in parallel with the last 680nF?
250p//470k just before the 1M gain and 470p//470k on 470k to the last stage. It seems a bright sounding hi-gain preamp. Something around the slash sound?

100k-1.8k//.68u, 220k grid, 470//500p/470 (500p over the ground leg) feeds 1MA pot with 150k to ground from wiper.
100k-9.75k//.82u < change, 220 grid
