Mustard caps in Fender amp?

While we're talking about this, anyone got any idea on how the CRO shots were obtained on the Sozo Break In page on their website?

The text says what it's trying to show. But I'd love to know what test setup they used to generate it and then determine if it's actually a valid display or not. If it was valid it would be then interesting to do the same with different caps and see if the smearing is worse or better.
