how do you remove turrets

i have a g10 board with turrets that look like crap. i'd like to remove them and possibly change them or put in eyelets more likely. thoughts?

Use a drill and carefully drill from the backside (the side that is swaged) until the swage part is cut loose from the turret. Then pull the turret out with a pliers. Use a drill that is a little bit bigger than the shank of the turret (like about 1/8 inch). Be careful not to drill into the g10 or you will enlarge the holes.
