SS tranny set

Post by C Moore »

That is..... a set from a Solid State amp.
Could not find a schematic.
Dukane 1A3125.

The power transistors were pairs of Motorola:
MJ15022-8713
MJ15023-8650

The OT does not have a Primary CT. Its terminal block (Secondary) was marked:
Com
8 Ohm
CT
25V
70V
125 Watts Output

The Primary is:
Red to Red/ 70 VAC CT
Green to Green/ 34 VAC CT
Are these worth any kind of money at all.?
Do any of you guys build "solid state stuff".?
Thank You

THis is an OT from a installation PA amp, where one uses 70 or 100V outputs to drive a voltage distribution line. Each loudspeaker then requires a step down transformer to convert back to the current drive for several typical 4 or 8 ohmloudspeakers, which can now be run i parallell without the typical parallelling impedance problem. One has to watch the total consumed power of all loudsepakers, not to exceed the total amp wattage. The 70 or 100V notation references the maximum voltage swing at full output.

Value - hard to say - best for repairing a similar amplifier....

Thanks for the explanation.
Cannot imagine anybody needing these, but you never know. I can try them on Craig's List .....until we have our next E-Waste pick up. :)
Thanks Again
