Mike just replied me that the module has 90W power output and works for a 30W 4xEL84 AC30 like, and can be bought custom for a maximum of 350V B+. They are developing bigger units for 100W amps (and I hope more).
Has anyone checked the other items on that site? Custom power transformers (100-500w) for $39. You specify the voltages:

Seems to good to be true.

Yeah, I just ordered the PSU. When I got my paypal receipt, payment was to Liu Ding. I imagine it will take a while to get here.

I'm writing to Mike, but obviously is an "occidentalized" name, many Chinese companies do this to make people more comfortable.

He wrote me that by now he can only sell SMPS with:
90W for HV and 35W for heaters.

I proposed 360V 250mA and 6.3V 5A.
And I asked prices for 10 20 50 pcs for a group buy.
10pcs is minimum order.

Higher wattage and different voltages will be available soon.

I would be interested in higher powered version if you get enough people together, I have one of the small ones on the way to try it. They quoted 10 to 20 days shipping. There should be enough interest generated for a higher powered version as they are now a sponsor over on the diyaudio forum.

Yeah, I'm organizing a group buy on italian forums for the 4xEL34 fixed bias version too.
With that one I'm sure to go way more than 50 units, so prices should be quite low.

Did you guys see the Hi Fi amp kits?

They seem reasonable but use odd ball tubes.

Is this company based in China?

I just received my order. I'm going to do something rocket-ish with it. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Yep will fit in a 1u, and probably is less than a pound. The weight savings alone is enough for me to want to make it work.

I remember seeing an article about those at one of the NAMM shows or amp shows.

It seemed pretty amazing, able to use any power tube(s).

At the time they had the prototype but it was hard to pin down when they would produce them.

I don't think it even has an output transformer.

Now it says0:

GAGA amplifiers are produced in serialized runs and may be purchased directly.

So no price and no info on availability.

You would think if this thing is the next best thing to sliced cheese that it would be wildly accepted and manufactured.
The last blog update is Dec 2011.
Anybody know why it isn't?

Just read a Premier Guitar review and in the comments they said it cost:

$3750 for the Gaga.

ZOTL
I guess it uses some kind of SS converters on the output.
He has several patents on it.
