Desoldering Pump Recommendations

Post by milkyBK370 »

Questions rather than answers from me once again! :D

I had a little cheap desoldering pump that I used on my last couple of amp builds and some pedals. It has quit working. The threads that hold the ip in have worn which results in the tip flying through the air each time the pump is used!! I'd rather keep both eyes intact so I need a new one. No point getting the same on again as it only lasted a year.

Fire away with your recommendations please.

Yeah, Edsyn is the industry standard when it comes to hand operated solder vacuums.

I prefer the Soldapullt III PT109 version as it seems to have more suction.

You may find a better price on the interwebs.

HEY, actually they have this one on sale for $8.40.
Same as the one above.
The only difference is it has a micro tip so smaller tip.
You can always buy more tips.

I've used one of these for years, tips seem to last a while also.
