12AX7 new test data

Post by randalp3000 »

Been lurking here a lot lately, thanks for all the great posts and knowledge.

Found some good info on a couple current production 12AX7's on the Z forum from Myles Rose I thought I would share.

Personally I've been struggling with tubes for awhile to the extent of purchasing a MaxiMatcher, MaxiPre, and I just got a Tube Imp so I can measure current.

Anyho, enjoy. I'll be back when I get my parts from RJ and start my new Thunderbolt build.

thanks

As a side note, gold pins are vacuum plated, ultra inexpensive to do and offer no benefit.
I'll disagree with this. Gold helps prevent the pins from oxidizing like old tube pins always seem to do. Other than that cool little articles!
